Supporting sustainable development.
Our company actively supports sustainable development through continuous improvements in energy efficiency, renewable energy use and responsible agricultural practices. In pig production, we upgraded to a more efficient straw boiler to reduce energy use. Across our farms, solar panels now provide renewable power, reflecting our commitment to green energy investments.
In crop production, we introduced cover crops and reduced artificial fertilisers from 2025/26 to enhance soil health, support biodiversity and lower environmental impact. We also strengthened crop rotation to make better use of natural plant benefits such as nitrogen fixation.
We engage in broader sustainability initiatives, including participation in the ESG Hungary Club - a platform promoting green finance opportunities. With members representing around 3 % of Hungary’s GDP, the club brings together agricultural, financial and academic stakeholders to share knowledge on ESG and EU CSRD requirements. Through active involvement, we contribute to shaping a more sustainable and transparent future for the industry.
