FirstFarms Hungary is among the Responsible Employers of the Year 2021
Dr. László Palkovics, Minister of Innovation and Technology presented the awards to the award-winning large enterprises, which have between 250-2,000 employees. The competition was announced for the 6th time by the OFA Nonprofit Ltd. with aims to get to know and recognise employers who do a lot for their employees. In 2021, winners were announced out of 117 entries in 5 categories.
FirstFarms Hungary Kft., as subsidiary of the FirstFarms Group with more than 300 employees were awarded as Responsible Employer of 2021; we have won the 3rd place, in category of large enterprises. We competed with companies like: Contitech Magyarország kft. (Continental), Hell Energy, Herendi Porcelan Manufacture, IBM Hungary MVM Next Energy, Imperial Tobacco, Praktiker, Michelin Hungaria, Kometa, Shell Hungary, Rossmann.... just introducing the biggest ones. At the award ceremony, it was emphasised that the special feature of the FirstFarms Hungary’s application was that the company works in a structured and active way to build respect for the animal husbandry profession, while also developing a salary strategy, transparency and employer branding for employee retention.
Our application highlighted the activity in a manner of communication, CSR connected to the HR strategy for succesfull workforce engagement and retention. The program of FirstFarms Hungary Kft. which won the qualification of an independent professional jury was about reaching out to the young generation, building an employer's brand and making efforts to value employees. We introduced our school roadshows, presence at carrier fairs and scholarship program. The actions to value our employees included our salary strategy, the importance of rewarding loyalty, and tools to motivate performance. As a result of the decisions made by employer in recent years, fluctuation has decreased, the number of professionally qualified employees at the company has increased, and there has been a significant improvement in performance results as well.
The Responsible Employer of the Year competition was a good opportunity for us to see where we stand in the employer market. It is an honor to be among the top three in the category of large enterprises.
